The Rotaract Club of Kibuli

Rotary Club of Kampala Kibuli is a vibrant, fun loving and community service oriented club.

The club boasts of over 40 members with an average age of 35 and above.

The club was chartered by the Rotary International (RI) on October 28, 2008.

It owes its founding to the Rotary club of Mengo with Rotarian Cox Sempebwa as its Charter President

and the club has grown steadily through the years

Our community projects are focused to support families with sickle cell disease, less privileged

students within the Kibuli Community at university among others mainly offering health,

education, and income generating services.

Although Kibuli is located in Kampala, the residents lack basic services due to challenges

commonly associated with urban slum communities including but not limited to poor sanitation,

low income levels, low literacy levels and crime.

However, the area is home to Kibuli hospital, Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Kibuli School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kibuli Secondary and Kakungulu Memorial School among the oldest schools in the country. Most charter members are residents of the area.

Twice a year the club holds medical camps in Kibuli. The club keeps cohesion among its members through vibrant home hospitalities and vocational visits.
